Global & Cultural Effectiveness

Mark is the practice leader for IOR’s consulting services in global talent management. He works extensively with business executives and corporate teams on global leadership development and talent management projects. Over the past 18 years, he has designed and facilitated leadership development and talent management solutions for leading companies throughout the world on 4 different continents. He is presently working with global companies on cultural integration projects that involve mergers and change management. Mark has broad, global experience working with professionals from over 50 different countries across a diverse range of industries. Mark also coaches leaders and managers, helping them develop a global mindset and strengthen intercultural competence. He is licensed to deliver and interpret a variety of assessment instruments useful for global talent identification and development.

Gareth Williams is one of Mercer’s senior leaders of Merger & Acquisition consulting services in the US. In this role he provides a broad range of merger, acquisition and divestiture services while specializing in helping clients successfully complete global transactions. He also offers a wealth of experience in the strategic development, design and financing of total rewards programs around the world. He joined Mercer in the UK in 1979 and transferred to South Africa in 1982, New York in 1988 and Chicago in 1996. Prior to taking on his current role as an M&A leader, he held zone, regional and global leadership roles in International Consulting and Total Rewards. Gareth holds an honours degree in pure mathematics and statistics from the University of Wales and a diploma in business administration from the University of Witwatersrand in South Africa. He is a Fellow of the Institute of Actuaries in the UK and an Associate of the Society of Actuaries in the US.

Carlos Antonaglia is an Executive Senior Manager of Labor and Social Security Advisory practices from Ernst & Young Brazil and he has over 12 (twelve) years of experience in audit and consulting company. He has extensive experience in labor and social security procedures as well as Human Resources administration, including participation in many due diligence processes in local and multinational companies. Carlos was the Head of Human Resources for Ernst & Young Brazil in 2008 and has experience with chemical, pharmaceutical, food and beverage industries, publishing, health, software, retails, services and banks. Antonaglia is fluent in English and Spanish, has a bachelor in Law, and post graduation in Human Resources area from Getúlio Vargas Foundation - FGV-SP and from Armando Álvares Penteado Foundation – FAAP. Hillary T. Bochniak is a Managing Director of Human Resources at Accenture.  She serves as the Senior HR Business Partner for the Financial Services practice, responsible for driving the overall Human Resources agenda for that $6B global organization.   

Hillary began her career at Accenture as part of the management consulting practice, working with Banking clients.  Since that time, she has amassed more than 15 years of Human Resources experience in a variety of roles including HR Business Partner for the North America Financial Services practice and a leadership role in Accenture’s global implementation of SAP for Human Resources.  In addition, Hillary is the co-lead for corporate citizenship in Accenture’s Chicago metro location and serves on the Central Division Board of Directors for Junior Achievement. 

Hillary is a graduate of the University of North Carolina and the Mason School of Business at the College of William and Mary.  She lives in downtown Chicago with her husband and two young children.

 

Paolo Nagari is the CEO & Founder of InterCultural Group a corporate education consulting firm based in Charlotte NC. His focus is to provide organizations with the cross cultural training, coaching, and consulting programs they need to work and communicate effectively with people from other national cultures. He is the originator of the Intercultural Intelligence® Model and has been using it to successfully deliver solutions for global brands including: Electrolux, Georgetown University, and GE Healthcare. Educated in Italy, France and the United States, Paolo is presently writing a book on his model of Intercultural Intelligence®.

Paula M. Jones is an associate at Drinker Biddle & Reath LLP, where she advises clients on estate planning and administration with a focus on international planning. Her practice encompasses all aspects of U.S. estate and gift taxation, the creation and maintenance of U.S. and foreign trusts, pre-immigration planning for non-resident aliens coming to the United States, expatriation tax planning for residents and citizens leaving the United States, charitable giving overseas and other related matters.

Theresa S. Treat joined the Company in December 2006 as Vice President, Human Resources. Prior to joining the Company, Ms. Treat was Vice President of Human Resources at Cutter & Buck, Inc., and has more than 30 years of experience in human resources, serving at Onvia, Inc., Pointshare, Inc., Nextlink Communications, and Horizon Airlines. She also served as a labor negotiator for employees in the state of Alaska from 1983 to 1990. Ms. Treat currently serves on the Board of Directors of Athletes For Kids, a non-profit organization. Ms. Treat has a Master’s Degree in Labor and Industrial Relations and a Bachelor’s Degree in Industrial and Organizational Psychology, both from the University of Illinois.

In his current role, Mark is responsible for program development, project management and the expansion of Tanenbaum programs nationally and internationally. A sought-after expert on equality issues like race, gender, sexual orientation and religion, Mark's recent engagements include workshops at SHRM’s Annual Conference & Exposition, the National Association for Multicultural Education, the Out & Equal Workplace Summit, and Multicultural Forum for Workplace Diversity.

Melvin Brown II is an author, conference speaker and organizational consultant. He is sought out by both government and industry as an expert in the areas of  Chanage Management, Program Management, Knowledge Management and Training.  

Nicknamed “Mr. Turnaround” he has more than twenty years of not only turning around the lives of individuals but several organizations both in the private sector and the federal government.  

He has developed several change management strategies for collaboration and is the recipient of the America Council for Technology, Industry Advisory Council’s, 2007 Excellence in Government award.
