The SHRM Foundation's Veterans at Work and Getting Talent Back to Work are critical programs that provide education and resources for HR professionals as they create more inclusive workplaces.
The Veterans at Work initiative elevates veterans as valuable members of our workforce and seeks to provide educational resources and resources that will help HR Professionals attract, hire, and retain members of the military community.
The Getting Talent Back to Work initiative, through educational resources and actionable tools, helps empower HR professionals to confidently hire and retain individuals with criminal records.
This session will provide program updates to what lies ahead for these programs in 2020-2021 and beyond!
In this session we will:
- Identify the programmatic initiatives the SHRM Foundation offers to educate and train HR professionals on attracting, hiring, and retaining members of the military community
- Introduce the upcoming initiatives within the Veterans at Work Program, including the refreshed Veterans at Work 2.0 program.
- Review the business case for equitable HR practices that are inclusive of individuals with criminal and/or conviction records
- Overview the existing and upcoming programs within the Getting Talent Back to Work initiative.
