Scott Galt understands that government actions increasingly affect companies involved in the global trade of goods and services. To manage those added risks associated with overseas transactions, Scott handles corporate compliance issues and global transactions for foreign and domestic companies in a wide variety of industries and contexts. His knowledge of local legal requirements, including trade regulations and data privacy laws in many countries, helps organizations enhance their worldwide networks in a cost-efficient manner. As globalization continues to take hold, Scott advises clients on the licensing and regulatory needs related to their international business concerns, including in connection with the Export Administration Regulations (EAR), the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR), economic sanctions regimes, anti-boycott laws, embargoed country trade, competition law, and anti-bribery laws, such as the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act (FCPA) and the UK Bribery Act. When a company wants to grow its business, either organically or through acquisition, Scott serves to guide it through the maze of issues associated with their global or domestic expansion. Iñigo is director, global markets for the America’s, Caribbean and Spain at SHRM (Society of Human Resources Management), the largest association in the world dedicated to HR professionals.

Prior to SHRM he was senior regional manager at ATD (Association for Talent Development, formerly ASTD), where he managed International relations with Europe and Latin America for five years and half.

Prior to his role in ATD, Iñigo worked as director of sales and marketing at Fonexion USA, a European Bluetooth and wireless accessories distributor, managing U.S. and Latin American operations. Before that, he was deputy director for AGRAGEX (the Spanish Farm Equipment and Irrigation Exporters Association) for ten years in Bilbao, Spain. He extensively promoted farm equipment products, organizing trade shows and trade missions and bringing entrepreneurs to more than 85 countries.

He holds a BA in economics from the Complutense University of Madrid (Spain) and a diploma in economics from the University of Wolverhampton (UK), and has taken several doctorate courses in development economics at the University of the Basque Country in Bilbao (Spain). He is fluent in English, Spanish, and French, and is currently learning Portuguese. He has presented at different conferences and workshops in Latin America and Europe. He recently became SHRM- SCP (Senior Certified Professional).

Deborah joined TELUS International in December 2009 as Benefits and Corporate Social Responsibility Manager for El Salvador, back when the company only had 600 employees. From the beginning of her career at TELUS International, she oversaw all matters related to Culture, Engagement and Attrition, implementing new benefits, development programs and employee retention strategies.

 

Deborah then transitioned to the Site HR Manager role, where she supported the Operation through the HR Business Partners team. In 2014, Deborah was promoted to Human Resources Director, responsible of delivering on the TELUS International Value Proposition by safeguarding our brand promise of being a “Caring Culture” organization.

 

Deborah’s intent is to create a happier, better and safer place for our employees because she truly believes that Happy People = Happy Customers. Her duties include the administration of the organization’s Human Resources function, she oversees organizational development, performance management, HR Business Partners, employee relations, employee retention and development  strategies, benefits, and corporate social responsibility, leading the HR staff in El Salvador.

Throughout her career at TELUS International, Deborah has established great relationships with both our customers and Operations leaders, constantly delivering on our TELUS International values. Overall, Deborah has 15 years of experience in Human Resources, since she started her career in Recruitment as University Relations Coordinator and Senior Recruiter. Tammy D. McCutchen is a senior affiliate with Resolution Economics, providing expert services in the Company’s Wage & Hour and Human Capital Strategy groups.

McCutchen became affiliated with Resolution Economics in 2021. She is a nationally recognized expert in all aspects of wage and hour law. Her experience includes regulation drafting and enforcement, conducting internal compliance audits, defending agency investigations, designing compliance applications using smart technology, and serving as a consulting and testifying expert in wage and hour class and collective actions.

Prior to joining the DOL, she served as Administrator of the Wage and Hour Division at the U.S. Department of Labor. Nominated by President George W. Bush and confirmed by the U.S. Senate, she was the country’s top enforcer of the Fair Labor Standards Act, the Family and Medical Leave Act, and wage laws affecting government contractors (the Davis-Bacon Act and the Service Contract Act). She managed an annual budget of $160 million and 1,400 employees, represented by two unions, in more than 250 offices across the country. She was responsible for the issuance of opinion letters and set enforcement policy. She also was the principal architect of the 2004 revisions to the overtime exemption regulations, the most significant overhaul of the regulations in 50 years. Since leaving DOL, she has been the principal author of numerous comments on proposed changes by DOL to the FLSA regulations, including on overtime and independent contractors. She also has defended dozens of employers facing DOL investigations of FLSA, DBA, and SCA compliance.

After serving at the DOL, she practiced law with Littler Mendelson, PC and was a founding vice president and managing director of ComplianceHR. At CHR, she directed the development of the only on-demand suite of intelligent compliance applications focused on helping employers address the ever-changing federal and state employment law requirements on minimum wage, overtime, independent contracting and more. Her Navigator IC and Navigator OT apps assess the risks of classifying workers as independent contractors and employees as overtime exempt as quickly as it takes to fill out an on-line questionnaire. She remains a Strategic Advisor for the company.

Previously, she was in-house counsel for employment at the Hershey Company, practiced law at Skadden Arps, and clerked for Honorable Daniel A. Manion on the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Seventh Circuit.

A Nebraska native, Schweer first came to Washington, D.C., to work for then-Sen. Chuck Hagel, following many years of working in campaigns, including those of Rep. Jeff Fortenberry (R-NE). After her years of service on Capitol Hill, Schweer joined the rock star Bono’s non-profit organization, The ONE Campaign, where she led partnership strategy and advocacy in support of African development, including maternal and child health.

From 2014 to 2017, Schweer served as chief of protocol to Defense Secretaries Chuck Hagel, Ashton Carter, and Jim Mattis in the Pentagon. During her tenure, she proposed and led creative new initiatives to raise the profile and advance the priorities of the Secretary of Defense, including helping roll out a 12-week paid maternity leave policy for the military.

In 2018, she helped BPC stand up the first bipartisan Paid Family Leave Task Force and has been working on bipartisan, bicameral paid family leave policy at the federal level. 

She and her husband have three young daughters and a son.
