Nicole Butts is an accomplished Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion executive, strategist, and coach who specializes in transforming executives into inclusive and equitable organizational leaders.

During her 20-year career, she has built multiple inaugural DEI offices; served as a chief diversity officer; a director of employee diversity, inclusion, and climate; and a director of equal employment.

Nicole is the founder of NLYB Solutions, a DEI consulting firm helping executives, executive teams, and organizations courageously and effectively navigate personal, professional, and organizational DEI journeys. She is the creator of SHIFT, a transformational five-step framework for creating systemic, effective, measurable, and sustainable DEI cultures.

Internationally recognized as an expert in the field, Mr. Kushner is one of the nation's most sought after speakers on HR strategy and employee benefits. He has advised four U.S. Presidents on health care and has testified before the U.S. Senate Finance Committee, the U.S. House Ways and Means Committee and the U.S. House Small Business Committee on employee benefit issues.

A frequent resource to the media, Mr. Kushner contributes to the Wall Street Journal, the New York Times, AP, Knight-Ridder, the Kiplinger Washington Newsletter, CNN News, Fortune, MSNBC and Good Morning America among others. Toni Pilzner is an attorney with more than 15 years' experience in advising employers on creating and administering employee welfare and retirement benefit plans. Having worked as a certified public accountant and as an in-house corporate tax analyst dealing with employee benefit plan matters before becoming an attorney, she also understands the financial and practical aspects of employee benefit plan administration. Toni has shared her expertise with SHRM members by presenting concurrent sessions on employee benefits topics at a number of SHRM conferences in addition to writing SHRM Legal Alerts and contributing to SHRM Online articles on employee benefit matters. She also served on the SHRM Total Rewards Special Expertise Panel and its predecessor, the SHRM Compensation and Benefits Committee, as well as serving a three-year term on the U.S. Department of Labor's ERISA Advisory Council.

Matthew Effland is the Vice President – Employment Counsel for KAR Auction Services, Inc.  KAR is a provider of vehicle auction services in North America, facilitating the used vehicle marketplace by providing auction services for sellers of used, or whole car, vehicles and salvage vehicles through its auction locations and multiple internet venues. The Company has a network of 65 whole car auction locations and 164 salvage auction locations, as well as offering a variety of online and financing services.  In his role, Matt provides guidance and support to KAR’s Human Resources department, drawing on his 14 years of management-side private practice.  Matt is licensed in both California and Indiana, and is the author of the recently-published SHRM Book ”The Perils and Pitfalls of California Employment Law: A Guide for HR Professionals.”

As executive vice president of Corporate Services for Aflac Incorporated, Ms. Tillman is responsible for all aspects of human resource management for Aflac’s more than 4,400 employees. She also oversees operations of the Facilities, Corporate Learning, and Strategic Sourcing & Procurement divisions as well as the Travel & Meetings division and Communicorp, Aflac’s for-profit printing company. 

During her tenure, Aflac has received multiple honors including Training magazine’s Training Top 125, FORTUNE magazine’s 100 Best Companies to Work For and Working Mother magazine’s 100 Best Places for Working Mothers, as well as being recognized by Black Enterprise magazine as one of its Best Companies for Diversity for six consecutive years. Aflac has also appeared in LATINA Style magazine’s annual list of The 50 Best Companies for Latinas to Work for 13 years and was named to BusinessWeek’s Best Places to Launch a Career in 2008 and 2009. 

Ms. Tillman is a member of the State Bar of Georgia, the North Carolina State Bar and the Bar of the District of Columbia and is a past chair of the corporate law section of the National Bar Association.  She has also served as a director-at-large for the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM).

Michele Honomichl is the CEO and Founder of Celergo, which provides international payroll management services in over 130 countries. Michele’s responsibilities include corporate strategy, investor relations, and new business development. She is actively involved in the payroll industry by presenting at numerous industry forums on various topics including: Global Payroll, Expatriate Management and Technology topics. Michele is also the author of Chapter 13 on International Payroll in the Payroll Answer Book (2008-2011 editions) published by Aspen Publishers.

Greg Madsen is Co-CEO of Innovative Rx Strategies. Greg possesses first-hand knowledge of PBM pricing models and is an expert in MAC programs, generic pricing and PBM operations. He also has expert knowledge of claims adjudication processes and benefit design administration, along with years of negotiating and auditing experience. Greg is a registered pharmacist with an MBA and prior to founding Innovative Rx Strategies, Greg was Senior Vice President of Retail Services for CVS Caremark. He was responsible for expanding the company’s retail programs, developing client pricing initiatives and was a key contributor to the client underwriting process.

William D. Wight is a partner in the Philadelphia and Washington, D.C. offices and is the chair of the firm's International Employment Practice Group.  He counsels employers on various global employment, compensation and benefit issues related to employees abroad, as well as foreign nationals working in the U.S. and the employment of the U.S. permanent residents and citizens abroad.  Bill has worked with compliance issues related to hiring, retention and separation of employees in a multitude of jurisdictions.  His experience with global employment issues has helped him assist our clients with international operations on all sevel continents including Antarctica.  Bill has assisted clients with the implementation of strategic planning and policy development with respect to global HR practices and policies.  He has also assisted clients with the management of litigation and employment controversy matters in numerous international jurisdictions.  Bill has also counseled clients based outside the United States with the special considerations that are required when complying with U.S. employment and employee benefit rules and regulations. Bill is regularly involved with resolving questions related to privacy and data protection issues.  

Don Delves has over 20 years of consulting experience. In 2002, he founded The Delves Group, a Chicago-based consultancy dedicated to working with boards, compensation committees, senior executive teams, and sales forces to improve their effectiveness and the way they are organized, directed, and rewarded. He is a Certified Public Accountant, and recently served as president of the Chicago Compensation Association.

Prior to founding The Delves Group, Delves was the Managing Director of the Chicago office of iQuantic, a Senior Consultant at Sibson and Company, and an executive compensation consultant with Towers Perrin. He has also served as a manager in personal financial planning and taxation with Arthur Andersen & Co., and as a financial consultant for Harris Bank. Delves is a recognized expert on corporate governance, executive and sales force compensation, incentive design, performance measurement and value creation, and writes and speaks regularly on these subjects.
