Jonathan is a Senior Associate in BAL’s Boston office. He partners with multinational corporations by providing program management, strategic consulting, and quality control to help companies create best-in-class global immigration programs. He has experience working with companies ranging from start-ups to some of the largest companies in the world across various industries, from retail to defense contracting. Jonathan has a strong interest in mergers and acquisitions, and recently managed the immigration impacts of a $67 billion acquisition.

Mark is a Partner in Berry Appleman & Leiden LLP’s Dallas office. Mark represents clients ranging from startups to Fortune 500 companies in the IT, health and medical research, engineering, transportation, and pharmaceutical industries. He focuses on providing corporations with strategic advice and insight while they seek to hire and retain global talent. As the son of two immigrant parents, Mark uses his family’s experiences to carefully navigate clients through the US immigration system.  

Partnering with corporate HR and legal teams, Mark develops immigration sponsorship and compliance programs, and aligns services with business operations. He advises companies on the impact of corporation reorganizations and mergers and acquisitions. Mark also advises researchers and health care professionals on EB-1, PERM, Physician NIW, and Conrad 30 J-1 waivers. Mark has extensive experience with health care immigration and has represented both institutional clients and individual physicians.

Alessandra Henderson is the Co-Founder & CEO of Elektra Health, a next-gen women's healthcare platform on a mission to smash the menopause taboo. Elektra empowers the 50M women navigating menopause in the US – and the millions more abroad – with evidence-based education, care & community. Prior to Elektra, Alessandra spent 10+ years building early stage consumer businesses from the ground up at Artsy, the MIT NYC Startup Studio, and Human Ventures. She holds a B.A. from Vanderbilt University and MBA from Sloan MIT, where she received the Martin Trust Community Fellow Award and the Patrick McGovern Entrepreneurship Award. Her work has been covered by The NY Times, Fast Company, Techcrunch, the Financial Times and more.

Andrea began her career building a tech startup from $10k in seed monies to a multi-million-dollar organization in only 8 years. She went onto serve as the first female corporate executive at multiple global companies, and an I-CORPS certified instructor with the University of Iowa’s Startup Incubator. Trained as a behavioral scientist, Andrea founded a customer-centric strategic differentiation firm, serving multi-billion-dollar companies. She is a published author, contributor to Harvard Business Review, and is a TEDx Speaker.

David Setzkorn CPCU, leads HUB’s Workforce Absence Management team and has over 14 years’ experience working in the absence management space as a subject matter expert on Leave Administration in the United States and Canada.  His experience includes consultation and development of Integrated Absence Management programs that include implementation, training, and ongoing compliance with state and federal regulations. He is responsible for helping clients create unique time away from work programs that ensure that when an employer experiences an absence, they have the right programs in place to handle the absence and successfully return the employee to work.  

Jeff Faber is the Chief Strategy Officer for Hub International.  His role is to put better ideas in the heads of our consultants and customers. 

In his 20+ years of broad-based consulting, which ranged from pension actuarial work to executive compensation to HRIS and healthcare, he learned that the success of an employer’s benefits offering is unique to a workplace and deeply interconnected to culture, company branding and individual talent. 

He is responsible for the development and execution of cutting-edge tools, enabling cost-containment strategies with minimum friction, and deploying risk-reduction and employment-enhancing initiatives.  At Hub, he creates quality employee experiences.
