Meredith Nethercutt is the Manager of Member Engagement at the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM). She provides leadership and direction to establish, maintain and strengthen relationships with SHRM Volunteer Leaders, members, and affiliates to achieve the Society's strategy and objectives on membership. Meredith develops and executes a comprehensive strategy to educate and inform volunteer leaders on membership programs, services and resources and to support them in their Volunteer Leader role. Meredith was previously the director of member advocacy at SHRM, overseeing the Advocacy Team (A-Team) network of volunteer advocates, where she facilitated relationships between SHRM members and lawmakers to strengthen the Society's advocacy objectives in legislative districts nationwide. In addition, Meredith provided training and guidance to HR advocates on how to effectively communicate with lawmakers regarding workplace policies.

Whitney Warner, SPHR is a Partner with the labor and employment law firm of Moody & Warner, P.C. Her practice includes representation of both employers and employees. Ms. Warner was named one of the Best of the Bar 2010 by New Mexico Business Weekly. She was awarded the 2009 Professional Excellence Award by SHRM of NM, the state’s top honor in the HR field. Nicholas Epley conducts research on the experimental study of social cognition, perspective taking and intuitive human judgment. "Most people are intuitive psychologists in their daily lives - wondering why people think or behave as they do. I just happened to find a profession that enables me to answer these questions for a living," explains Epley.

In his new book, Mindwise: How We Understand What Others Think, Believe, Feel, and Want (February, 2014), Epley introduces what scientists have learned about our abilities to understand the most complicated puzzle on the planet—other people—and the surprising mistakes we so routinely make.

His research has appeared in more than two dozen journals, including the Journal of Personality and Social Psychology, Psychological Science, Psychological Review and the Journal of Experimental Social Psychology. His research also has been featured by the Wall Street Journal, CNN, Wired and National Public Radio, among many others, has been funded by the National Science Foundation and has earned the 2008 Theoretical Innovation Award from the Society for Personality and Social Psychology and the 2010 Distinguished Scientific Award for Early Career Contributions from the American Psychological Association.

Epley received a bachelor's degree in psychology and philosophy in 1996 from Saint Olaf College. In 2001, he graduated from Cornell University with a PhD in psychology, where he earned a Graduate Teaching Award from the Department of Psychology as well as a Cornell University Teaching Fellowship. Epley became an Assistant Professor at Harvard University and then joined the Chicago Booth faculty in 2004. He hopes that his students gain an appreciation for the power of scientific methodologies to provide accurate knowledge about the determinants of human thought and behavior. Outside of Chicago Booth, Epley's interests include hiking, fishing and woodworking.

Don MacPherson is an employee performance expert with over 17 years of industry experience. As President of the human capital measurement company, Modern Survey, Don oversees the organization’s consulting and employee measurement practices. Don’s areas of expertise include understanding employee and customer motivations, developing effective leadership, and creating processes for gathering employee feedback.

Ms. Moulton heads the human resources and administrative division of ACDI/VOCA. As a certified senior professional in human resources (SPHR), Ms. Moulton brings to ACDI/VOCA a depth of knowledge and experience in organizational management. She joined ACDI/VOCA in April 2006 after serving as vice president and deputy director of human resources at ICF International, Inc.; director of human resources and administration at Caliber Associates, Inc.; manager of human resources development at American Institutes for Research; and senior personnel consultant at Tangent Corporation. She earned her M.S. in applied behavioral science with a concentration in organizational development at the Johns Hopkins University and B.S. in psychology at the University of Maryland University College. She served on the board of the Human Resources Leadership Forum from 2011–2013. In 2012 she was a finalist in the Human Resources Leadership Award in Innovation and a recipient of the Dr. J. P. London Award for Promoting Ethical Behavior. In 2013 Ms. Moulton was awarded the InsideNGO Operational Excellence Award in Human Resources.
