SHRM member Scott Oswald is an accomplished trial lawyer who has brought more than 40 trials to verdict, tallying more than $300 million in judgments and settlements. As managing principal at The Employment Law Group, he represents employees and whistleblowers in matters ranging from wrongful termination to corporate fraud. Mr. Oswald serves as chair of the Federal Bar Association's Qui Tam Section, which focuses on whistleblower law. He earned his law degree at Howard University and is a fellow of the elite College of Labor and Employment Lawyers. He has been recognized by Super Lawyers, Best Lawyers, Lawdragon, and more.

Nancy Woolever, SHRM-SCP, joined SHRM in 1997 to plan SHRM’s conference, seminar, e-learning and executive education programs. In 2006, she began leading SHRM’s academic initiative to raise HR educational standards and led the test development and administration of SHRM’s student capstone exam before joining the certification team as director of exam development in 2017. In 2019, Ms. Woolever became the vice president of certification operations as overall product and project owner with responsibility for exam development, certificant care and testing administration. Before joining SHRM, Ms. Woolever held various management positions in industry and academia. Her specialty areas are test development, training and development.  Ms. Woolever holds a bachelor’s in business administration and a master’s in HR both from George Mason University in Fairfax, Virginia.

Author, and international presenter…Dennis A. Davis, Ph.D. is the National Director of Client training for Ogletree Deakins. Dr. Davis has a Ph.D. in psychology and uses his insight into human motivation to help employers manage workplace behaviors and
minimize risks. He has presented on Workplace Violence Prevention, Harassment Prevention, Diversity and Inclusion, Executive Coaching, as well as Out-Front Leadership.

Louis R. Lessig, Esquire, SHRM-SCP, SPHR is a Partner at the law firm of Brown & Connery, LLP in Westmont, NJ in their labor and employment group.  He regularly counsels clients, conducts training sessions and represents clients in federal and state court as well as before administrative agencies. Also known as The Employment Law Translator®, Mr. Lessig speaks across the country and regularly writes articles that appear in publications nationwide including XpertHR.  In 2018 he won the Delaware Valley HR Consultant of the Year Award. He is a member of the National Speakers Association (NSA) and a Past President of the Philadelphia chapter.  Mr. Lessig is an active volunteer for The Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM) as the Northeast Membership Advisory Council (MAC) Representative.

Kathi leads talent and workforce research for Bersin, Deloitte Consulting LLP, focusing on talent strategies and talent management, diversity and inclusion, people analytics, performance management, workforce transformation and the future of work. Kathi has lived and worked in Austria, the UK, Spain and the US, affording her broad cultural competence. Her experience in Big 4 management consultancies advising senior clients and leading talent functions in large organizations helps her understand how organizations can optimize work and the workforce. Kathi is passionate about making work better.

Kathi holds a doctoral and a master’s degree in mathematics from the University of Vienna, Austria.
